I’ve been painting and refinishing lots of mirrors – they’re fun, easy “fixes”.
My current project is my favourite – I’ll post it soon.
I’ve been experimenting with broken plate mosaics too – and have incorporated some flowers in the mirrors – with the big white one also having some china mosaic around the border.

Felting is fun and satisfying but it’s HELL on the hands.
In winter I do a ton of knitting. There are so many beautiful yarns now.
Recently I bought some looms on ebay and have been experimenting with them. I love how fast things knit up on the loom. Which led me into felting.
Felt is the new, big thing. It is fun and pretty easy to make and it’s so beautiful. I love the muted tones and the textures.
There are 2 distinct ways to felt. I am using the knit/shrink/block method. Heaven help us all when I get into needles and “roving wool”.
I’ve been experimenting with different wools too. This bowl was made with 100% wool in grey with some funfur I bought at Michaels for $1.29 a skein. I actually love it.
- I’m going across the border tomorrow to pick up my new serger (overlocker) which I bought on ebay. Beyond excited. [I know, you’re all rolling your eyes!]
Here’s a selection of some of the stuff I’ve been making. I have no idea what to do with it – I just keep knitting…heh
